Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has launched a new campaign to prevent knife crime claiming more young lives in the city.
London Needs You Alive aims to send a 'positive' and 'inspirational message' to young people, emphasising that their lives are too valuable to be put at risk by carrying a knife. The campaign is being supported by London based influencers including grime artist Yungen, blogger The Slumflower and urban poet Hussain Manawer, and Khan commented 'London is the best city in the world, full of opportunity, and one of the safest. But too many of our young people are being senselessly lost to knife crime. It has to stop'.
